An exhibition to raise awareness about water
Experience a guided tour through darkness—now with a focus on water.
An exhibition featuring water ambassador Anoosh Sophie Werner.
In WASSER WESEN, blind and visually impaired guides lead you through an exhibition where water can be experienced through the senses. You move through different rooms and perceive water through sounds, temperatures, and materials. The tour brings you into direct contact with the element.
The exhibition is divided into four chapters:
– Water Beings (human connection to water, character, sensuality)
– Our Main River and “Main Under” (sound installation by Julia Mihály)
– Water & City (water cycle, rainwater management in Frankfurt)
– Water & Blindness/Visual Impairments (conversation with your guide about the exhibition tour and real-life experiences)
In the light, interactive stations provide interesting facts about the topic. A highlight includes artistic photographs and tactile models of spring water, tap water, Main River water, and wastewater.

The tour lasts 60 minutes. Please arrive 30 minutes before the start! For the DunkelBar, you’ll need about €5 in cash per person.
