The second hand goes behind the back; it must not touch the table.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tip: Hold your paddle slightly angled toward the table so the ball does not bounce off.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Each player has 2 serves in a row. Your serve must first hit your own side rail for the serve to count.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Important: Before each serve, the referee must ask whether both players are ready and approve the serve. Only then does play continue.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Each goal scored against your opponent counts for 2 points. The game continues until one of you reaches 11 points and has a lead of at least 2 points.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A dead ball is a ball that remains lying in the middle of the table. The player who executed the last serve repeats it.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Score overview:\u00a0<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A goal against your opponent counts as 2 points for you&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dividing wall, out of bounds, and illegal play each count as 1 point for your opponent&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After each goal, the referee announces the score and who has the next serve. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Penalty points are awarded if:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The ball bounces off the table and out of bounds&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The ball is played against the dividing wall in the middle&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The ball is hit with something other than your own paddle (e.g., with your hand)&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Playing is free of charge; you can get the equipment and the ball at the ticket counter against a deposit.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Play fairly and considerately with one another.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Have fun playing Showdown!&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Showdown at the DIALOGMUSEUM&nbsp; 2 players \u2013 1 referee&nbsp; Game rules:&nbsp;&nbsp; Tip: Hold your paddle slightly angled toward the table so the ball does not bounce off.&nbsp; Important: Before each serve, the referee must ask whether both players are ready and approve the serve.
